Stakeholders in St. Lucia have commissioned a survey to better understand the concerns and perceptions of yacht based visitors. This is a key step in what should become a roadmap for the future.

Since October 2017 CSSN has received 22 safety and security incident reports for St. Lucia, ranging from theft to assault, occurring in a variety of locations. This survey provides an excellent opportunity for each of us to share our thoughts as well as constructive suggestions about how to improve the safety and security as well as the overall yachting experience in St. Lucia.

Please take a few minutes to complete the survey, the press release follows and contains the link. It is a combination of multiple choice and write-in questions, share your important and valuable perspective.

Press Release

Date: 5th July 2018.

Title: Saint Lucia’s Department of Tourism, Information and Broadcasting is asking the international and regional Caribbean yachting community for their perceptions and feedback, via an online survey, to assist in enhancing the island’s yachting product.

News Release Body: Saint Lucia’s Department of Tourism is launching a new initiative to support the development of yacht based tourism within the island’s coastal communities. As part of that process a short survey has been developed to gain the insights and experiences of sailors that have visited the island as well as the perceptions of those who have not. The aim of the short survey is to help identify and prioritise areas that Saint Lucia’s authorities need to focus upon in order to enhance Saint Lucia as a destination for all forms of yacht based tourism.

This press release is therefore a friendly call requesting the help of as many cruisers, racers and charterers as possible to spend under ten minutes sharing their thoughts, perceptions, feedback and insights on Saint Lucia from the perspective of a yacht-based visitor. This feedback is absolutely critical for helping guide a strategy for developing coastal communities that are suitably equipped to welcome today’s international community of Caribbean sailors.

The survey can be accessed at the following link and takes approximately eight (8) minutes to complete. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SaintLuciaYachting

Thank you in advance for your contribution and we look forward to welcoming you to Saint Lucia!
