July 26, 2017 – Royal BVI police report increase in dinghy thefts
CSSN’s information sharing partner, Noonsite, has published a report indicating that the RBVIP are warning the yachting community about a recent increase in dinghy thefts, particularly in Cane Garden Bay and Road Town, Tortola. LINK
RBVIP urge locking dinghies and yachts at all times, indicating that the increase in thefts during the summer months is not unusual.
CSSN has not received any recent reports from this area, and urges those affected to make simple online reports so that all cruisers can be well informed of problems as they occur. Timely reporting by victims is a responsibility we all share in the cruising community.
