CSSN, SSCA, KPK cooperate with Coconut Telegraph on broadcast timing

The Coconut Telegraph will resume their net on 8170 at 1200 hrs UTC on Nov 2.

Previously announced, CSSN and SSCA partner to provide KPKcropped-security_matters_logo.jpgssca_logo_round, a service of SSCA on SSB 8104 to enable cruisers to use land based resources and receive the latest safety and security information for the Caribbean Basin, complements of CSSN.

Glenn Tuttle, Vice President of SSCA and operator of the KPK service reports, “In order to be a good neighbor and operate in conjunction with the Coconut Telegraph (CT)  …  KPK will begin our service… at 1145 hrs UTC.  This will allow the CT users to tune into KPK  for the latest news, safety items and current events happening throughout the Caribbean, then tune into the CT to stay in touch with their friends.”

ScreenHunter_11 Oct. 30 18.57Important Notice for those in the Caribbean, the Coconut Telegraph Single Side Band Net (8170 at 8 am AST) – Starting Monday, November 2, the Coconut Telegraph will resume full time, 7 days a week, operation on 8170 at 8 am AST. Everyone is welcome to check in and get acquainted. We will be looking for a few net controllers as well.

Anyone wishing to help out by being a net controller would be greatly appreciated. They should reply to this post. We will get in contact and provide a script.
