DETAILS: Overnight thieves attempted to steal one dinghy/outboard, but it was chain locked to a tree on the beach. They were able to steal a second dinghy/3HP outboard, also on the beach, that was not locked. The thieves apparently abandoned the stolen dinghy when they were unable to start it because of a loose wire. It was found undamaged and adrift the next day by a cruiser in Prickly Bay, and returned. A police report was made.
