DETAILS: Owners awoke at 0145HRS when the captain of a neighboring yacht knocked on their hull. The neighbors had seen thieves towing the yacht’s in-the-water and not locked dinghy. The thieves had cut the painter, and were powering away when the neighbor’s yells alerted them. The thieves abandoned the dinghy and it was recovered. A report was made to the marina and the Coast Guard.
