DETAILS: A yacht owner heard some suspicious noise overnight and awoke to investigate and found the heavy lock /cable securing their outboard to the in-the-water dinghy had been defeated, and the transom clamps loosened. Apparently the well prepared thieves abandoned their attempt and later found another victim, see report 3635.
