DETAILS: Crew were sleeping when a thief boarded their unlocked catamaran and entered the port side cabins where they rummaged some of the clothing and found cash and a knife. They also stole life jackets from the dinghy. The crew made a police report after discovering the theft the next morning. The police visited and collected prints from the yacht and some clothing.

DETAILS: Owners of monohull on a NPA mooring had checked out and left the yacht to meet friends for dinner. During the 3 hours they were away the yacht was boarded. All access points had been locked. On their return they found that all cockpit cubbies had been ransacked, nothing was taken. No police report was made and the yacht departed the next morning.

DETAILS: A yacht anchored at 2.5M depth in Major’s Bay, St.Kitts. They dove the 35kg anchor and all was well. The crew awoke at 0300HRS when their anchor alarm sounded. They retrieved the anchor and found a line had been carefully tied into it, and then cut off. The shackle on the anchor remained seized. They re-anchored and noticed a singlehander on an adjacent yacht seemed to be dragging as well. He departed. The police were informed.
