DETAILS: Our dinghy was locked at the Woburn concrete dock while we were having dinner. There were several other dinghies there as well. When we returned to the dinghy to leave, we discovered the locking cable was completely severed. Another dinghy (see previous report) had cut marks on their cable. Reported to the CG, police, the nearby restaurant and on the VHF net. The next morning the dinghy was found by other cruisers beached in a cove about 1/4 mile south of the dock without further damage and with its outboard. A candy wrapper found inside the recovered dinghy was the same type that had been taken from a locked yacht that was burglarized in a nearby bay the same night. (see next report)
