DETAILS: A cruiser locked their Caribe dinghy / 9.8HP Tohatsu engine to the fisherman’s dock in Tyrrel Bay, Carriacou at 1700HRS. At 2200HRS when he returned it was gone.
The next day, a Facebook user reported that the police had found an engine. Apparently the thief was interrupted and abandoned the engine/fuel tank on a nearby beach, where the police found and collected it. The owner retreived the engine from the Hillsborough police station, but the dinghy remains missing.
