Special Analysis for Grenada from the CSSN Database

(DATE: 2015-02-03) Since Grenada was reported as the number 2 HOTspot in the Caribbean Basin during 2014, CSSN is publishing this special analysis to round out the suite of special analysis reports for the top 3 HOTspots : St Lucia, Grenada and St Martin (Dutch and French).

Here is what CSSN Users see for 2014 when they look at the CSSN hotspot map for the Caribbean Basin:

2014 Hotspots Total Map

CSSN is aware that Grenada is likely under reported (as is the entire Caribbean). We heard bits and pieces of reports about theft particularly to yachts left unattended in anchorages while crew were away for extended periods of time. Many of those incidents were not reported so we could not include them in our database.

In future, we anticipate better reporting of incidents using our new online reporting form that makes reporting easy and accurate and accessible from the CSSN homepage.
